    Purchased 2 Derby Originals Horse Tough 600D Ripstop Waterproof Winter Dog Coat 150g Medium Weight for our big boys. They fit well, the double velcro keeps them secure and the weight is just right for cool weather hikes without overheating.

    The Best Dog Coats

    We live in Buffalo, and my dogs love their Derby Originals coats. They each have a medium weight coat and a heavier winter parka. The prices are very reasonable, and the material, quality construction, reflective accents, adjustable fasteners, and range of colors make them an unbeatable value. I would absolutely love it if the manufacturers could offer a sizing between the 13.5” and 17.5” sizes. My dogs outgrew their puppy coats (13.5”) and the 17.5” will work, but a 15.5” size offering would have been ideal. I wouldn’t call that a complaint- it’s just a wish. But if you’re thinking of getting your pup a Derby Originals coat, go ahead. You won’t be disappointed!
